Bear Den Leader

This page is for Pack 44's Bear Scouts, and the Bear rank is for boys who have completed second grade (or are age 9).  This Den is lead by Shelli Bütz, and she is joined by several very good Asst. Den Leaders, Shawn Bowman, Shane Miller and Stacey Hereim (who is also our Pack Trainer) and the Den has roughly twenty Bears Scouts and a very involved parent group.

LAST YEAR'S EVENTS AS WOLVES

Dear Friends,

The Wolf Den is growing!  We now have 18 registered Cub Scouts and three newly trained leaders.  I would like to welcome Shane Miller, Stacey Hereim, and Amy Robson who each completed leader training. We are so excited to have these wonderful people to help create an awesome Wolf Den experience for the boys.

In addition to the trained leaders we also have lots of parents who stay and lend a hand or a knee or a voice as the need may be.  Thank you to all of you for your participation.

Because our den is so large that we have changed our days and time in order to have a larger meeting site.  We will continue to meet at the Career Center on Central Ave.  We will now meet on Thursday’s at 5:30pm.

This month the Den is reviewing the requirements for the Bobcat badge and teaching the new Cub Scouts all there is to know about this special achievement and badge.  We will follow this with a ceremony in November, celebrating their new knowledge of Cub Scouting.2003

We are looking forward to the next few months when we complete tin punch crafts as knights of the round table and wood working projects, just to name a few.

That’s all for now.

Yours in scouting spirit,

Shelli
